The TrueTension™ TI17B and TI18B indicators are versatile
transducer interfaces (amplifiers) for monitoring tension in any tension zone on web or filament processing machinery.  The primary function of the TI17B and TI18 indicators is to take a signal from tension transducers installed in the web path and to provide an output signal (typically 0-10Vdc) proportional to tension to a drive, controller or a PLC.

The only difference between the TI17B and the TI18B indicators is their power input requirements. The TI17B operates on 115Vac 60Hz (230Vac 50Hz optional) and the TI18B operates on 24Vdc, power supplied separately.

The standard configuration for either the TI17B or the TI18B is a 3" x 5.5" circuit card with no enclosure. Other configurations include the card in a semi-enclosure mounting bracket or in a complete enclosure, each with or without DIN-rail clip. These three configurations with the optional terminal block connector for external electrical connections are shown in the photo. Two versions are available, the vertical (V) mount and the horizontal (H) mount. The V version includes a semi-enclosure mounting bracket. The H version (standard configuration) includes mounting hardware.

• Meter damping adjustment. Minimizes meter fluctuation. (Used with optional tension meter).
• Dual Calibration. Allows settings for two transducer calibration ranges.
