ROCHESTER, NH–September 1, 2004) Started in August 1974 by Kenneth
Ekola, tension measure-ment and control equipment manufacturer, Dover
Flexo Electronics, Inc (DFE) is celebrating the firm’s 30th birthday.
Since its inception DFE has been a recognized leader in tension management
products and service for the converting and web printing industries. Having
weathered challenging times, including the manufacturing sector’s
downturn of recent years, the company has survived and grown by adhering
to core values of engineering and service.
Commenting on the way DFE has maintained its longevity and viability
in a tightly competitive market, Anthony Ciriello, the company’s
General Manager, offered “Teamwork and extraordinary effort by the
employees have really kept us going. Everyone’s commitment to meeting
the desires of our customers, especially where service is concerned, a
focus on product reliability, and our passion for tackling application

Based on survey data indicating DFE’s strong market recognition
for product value and innova-tion, founder and company president Ken Ekola
plans to secure the business’ future through con-tinued innovation,
development of application engineering talent, superior technical support,
and by generating continuous improvement through use of the company’s
ISO 9001-certified quality management system.
The web site www.dfe.com is one example of DFE’s commitment to
continuous improvement. Redesigned navigation with more links to critical
material from the home page has just been launched. “We’re
trying to keep pace with the times and customer expectations by making
ac-cess to product information easier,” reports Mark Breen, DFE
Marketing Manager. “To be engi-neering friendly and a valued industry
resource, the site can never be completed. Its functionality remains a
work in progress, updated as we receive feedback on what works and what
doesn’t.”
