MODULAR TENSION AMPLIFIER\ INDICATOR

(December 21, 2000  ROCHESTER, NH, USA) — For monitoring tension on converting and printing web machinery, Dover Flexo Electronics, Inc. offers the TI-17A True Tension™ Indicator.  The TI-17A takes a signal from tension transducers (installed on an idler roll in the web path) in any zone and delivers a signal proportional to tension to a drive, a PLC or a dedicated controller.

The TI-17A's modular design makes it a versatile, cost-effective tension measurement component for OEM's and end-users alike. In its most basic configuration, The TI-17A is a 3" x 5" transducer interface\ amplifier circuit card that can be mounted in an electronic component panel or cabinet. A second configuration offers vertical mounting on a DIN rail with a card connector and edge guide. The TI-17A is also available as a compact, completely enclosed tension indicator (with remote meter supplied separately).

Standard features include 0-10 Vdc isolated or 4-20 mA output proportional to tension, 0-1 mA damped output for a tension meter, and adjustments for tension zeroing, calibration and meter damping. The TI-17A operates with 115V or 230V input.  Designed to meet European Low-Voltage and EMC directives, the TI-17A is CE marked in its full enclosure version.  For more product information, click here.
